MOHAMED SALAH has declared he is ready for Egypt’s second World Cup clash against Russia.
Salah was on the bench for Egypt’s opening game against Uruguay, with head coach Hector Cuper not willing to take a risk with the forward after his shoulder injury during the Champions League final with Liverpool.
Egypt missed the cutting edge Salah can provide as they suffered a last-gasp defeat to Uruguay.
“Mo Salah is an extremely important player for us, nobody can deny that, but you need to have a good team, and we have a good team,” Cuper said.
“We wanted to avoid any risks in this match, but I think he will be fine for the next game.”
The Liverpool superstar is widely expected to feature against hosts Russia tomorrow.
And Salah has delivered an inspiring message to Egypt fans ahead of facing Russia.
He posted a video to his Instagram page with the caption: “Ready for tomorrow. 100 million strong.”
“You would think all those people, all that pressure to perform, would be too much,” he narrated over a film of Egypt’s journey to the World Cup finals.
“It can crush a player. But that’s not how I see it.
“These are my people. They’re not a weight on top of me.
